Today, in my English class, we discussed the importance of proper grammar. Our teacher pointed out the correct way to use certain pronouns, verb tenses and punctuation. We noted how making the slightest typographical mistake can drastically change the meaning of a sentence and how this can cause confusion. We also talked about how funny and tricky the English language can be. We all agreed that some words sound nothing like what they mean or stand for. Our teacher gave us some fun examples which had us all in stitches of laughter. We ended our class with a brief examination on the topics we discussed as it was important for us to truly retain the information we had reviewed.
